These beauties are made from a seed of a medicinal plant known to treat various conditions.  The gray seed is coupled with turquoise colored Czech glass & real Coconut saucers.

The main bead (gray bead) in this design came home with me from Puerto Rico though it is also known and used for a myriad of reasons.  Its scientific name is: Caesalpinia bonduc & it is known to have multiple restorative properties like: anthelmintic, antibacterial, antidiuretic and recently it has received considerable attention to treat Diabetes.

The use of this plant has been quoted in the Ayurvedic and traditional scriptures. It is widely recognized for its spiritual and symbolic significance, especially in Santería and other Afro-Caribbean traditions.

Coconut too has many medicinal benefits such as controlling Diabetes, Anti-bacterial, Anti-Cancer, Anti-oxidant, Reduce Joint Pain, Weight Loss and Alzheimers prevention properties.
